About the Role

As a Senior Risk Management Advisor, you will play a critical role in helping Te Toka Tumai Auckland understand, navigate, and proactively manage organisational risks. You’ll work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and senior leaders, facilitating risk workshops, supporting decision‑making, developing risk capability, and strengthening our overall risk culture.

A key part of this role is providing specialist advice and influencing leaders across Regional, District, and Directorate levels to ensure risk considerations are embedded into business planning, service design, and strategic decisions. You will also help evolve our risk management frameworks, support governance groups, develop insights and reporting, and maintain risk systems such as Datix.

You will join a supportive and collaborative Risk Management team that works closely with Planning & Performance and Clinical Quality & Safety to embed risk practice across a large, complex healthcare environment.

About you

You will bring specialist risk management expertise, strong relationship and influencing skills, and the ability to work confidently in complex environments. You are a credible advisor who can coach others, facilitate effective risk discussions, and contribute to organisational improvement.
Desirable experience includes health sector or highly regulated industry background, data/analysis capability, project management, and controls assurance.
