About the Role
As a Senior Physiotherapist – Rehabilitation, you will deliver advanced, evidence-based physiotherapy within an inpatient rehabilitation setting, promoting independence, safety and wellbeing for patients of Health New Zealand – Te Tai Tokerau. As a senior clinician, you will be an effective member of the multidisciplinary team, contributing clinical expertise to achieve high-quality rehabilitation outcomes for patients with complex needs.
This role offers daily clinical variety and challenge, requiring strong clinical reasoning and problem‑solving skills across a range of rehabilitation presentations. You will manage a complex clinical caseload in line with current best practice, while contributing to service quality, improvement initiatives, and effective patient flow.
Ongoing professional development and maintenance of advanced clinical skills are essential. Opportunities to mentor and support junior staff and students form part of this role. This position is ideally suited to an experienced physiotherapist with approximately 5+ years’ postgraduate experience, preferably within inpatient rehabilitation or a related setting.

About you
- Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current APC
- Able to work autonomously and harmoniously with other health professionals
- Clear, concise recording and reporting
- Sound knowledge of physiotherapy theory and principles of practise, able to assess clients’ needs and take appropriate action
- Demonstrated client-centred practice
Whilst not essential, candidates that have at least 5 years’ experience within a rehabilitation setting are desired
