About the Role
As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services. Working alongside pharmacists and the wider healthcare team, you’ll provide advanced technical support across dispensing, stock management, and medication supply, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
This is a varied and hands - on role where you’ll also provide guidance and support to other technicians, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and help maintain safe medication practices. You will work in a collaborative environment where your expertise is valued, and you’ll have opportunities to further develop your leadership and specialist skills.

Our Pharmacy service provides essential medication support across hospital services, ensuring patients receive safe, timely, and effective treatment. Based in Hawke’s Bay, you’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team committed to high - quality care and continuous improvement.

About you
As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will bring:
- A recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification and registration (or eligibility) in New Zealand
- Experience working in a hospital or community pharmacy setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Ability to support and mentor other team members
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-focused approach
