About the Role
This exciting new role has been created as part of the Manukau Health Park expansion, reflecting our commitment to enhancing eye healthcare services in South Auckland. We are currently inviting applications and welcome interest from qualified Consultants. We welcome interest from Consultants with a particular interest and experience in medical retina ophthalmology. This is a permanent role to suit someone who is wanting to get some flexibility in their work environment and keen to work at Counties Manukau District and gain fantastic clinical experience.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Ophthalmology department has excellent facilities and equipment. The service delivers a broad range of secondary care ophthalmology. You will be primarily based in our Ophthalmology Clinic in New Zealand's leading outpatient facility Manukau Health Park (MHP). From time to time, there may be sessions required to be undertaken across the Norther Region as we work towards a more regional approach.

About you
We seek candidates whose background, experience, or community service prepares them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence. Suitable applicants must have completed advanced medical training in Medical Retina Subspecialty and meet the essential requirements.
- Candidates must have an Ophthalmology or Medical Retina Fellowship or equivalent
- Qualification of FRANZCO and current vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
