About the Role
As a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator, you will play a key role in advancing high-quality clinical, translational, and observational research for people with cancer. You will coordinate a portfolio of Haematology and/or Oncology clinical trials in collaboration with investigators and research teams, ensuring studies are conducted to the highest ethical and clinical standards.
You will provide project management, trial coordination, and support for the nursing team across a large portfolio of local and international research projects. Your proven clinical research experience and advanced knowledge will be vital in ensuring the effective and ethical management of multiple clinical trials according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) position based at Auckland City Hospital within Te Toka Tumai Auckland.

Te Pūriri o Te Ora is the name that has been gifted to our northern regional cancer and blood services by Kahurangi Rangimārie Naida Glavish of Ngāti Whātua, Chief Advisor Tikanga for Te Toka Tumai Auckland. Te Pūriri o Te Ora means "the Pūriri tree of wellbeing" and speaks to the many qualities and gifts of the Pūriri tree and our aspiration to provide a place of healing and wellbeing for our communities.
Te Pūriri o Te Ora is the biggest cancer and blood service within Aotearoa, providing care to approximately 40% of the country. We provide a wide range of services including Medical and Radiation Oncology, Haematology, Āwhinatia Te Tangata (specialist Māori Health team), Cancer Support Team (specialist psychological and social support), Research, Genetics Services, and the NZ Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service.

About You
As a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator, you will bring:
• At least 3 years’ experience in the tertiary health sector and 2–3 years’ experience coordinating clinical trials
• Experience coordinating commercial clinical trials (non-commercial trial experience advantageous)
• Proven ability to independently manage clinical trials and mentor junior staff
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
• A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
