About the Role

In this role, you’ll provide clinical pharmacy services to support safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines across Te Whatu Ora Waitematā. You’ll work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, offering expert advice on medication management, safety, and quality improvement. The position also involves contributing to research, mentoring and developing staff, and supporting the ongoing delivery of pharmacy services, including weekday and weekend operations.

About Us

Health New Zealand Waitematā provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney areas. It has the largest population of any district health area.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Registration as a Pharmacist in New Zealand with a current annual practicing certificate
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical pharmacy experience
  • Strong interest in providing services that improve patient outcomes and address inequity of care
  • Experience in training, mentoring and coaching
  • A commitment to maintaining and developing clinical and technical expertise

Additionally, you’ll understand quality issues surrounding the provision of clinical and operational pharmacy services, have the ability to think strategically, and be motivated to lead service development and research within our service.
