Section Head Physiotherapist
- Physiotherapy Department, Whangarei Hospital
- 2x permanent part-time positions for the Acute Inpatient and Outpatient Physiotherapy Services (0.4 FTE), working 16 hours per week

About the Role
As a Section Head Physiotherapist (Inpatient or Outpatient), you will providing clinical and operational leadership, supporting workforce development, ensuring high standards of patient care, driving continuous quality improvement, and contributing to the effective delivery of physiotherapy services aligned with organisational goals and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles. You will manage the Inpatient or Outpatient Physiotherapy Service, demonstrate expert clinical practice and support the Physiotherapy Team Lead.

About you
- Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current APC
- At least 5 years’ experience as a physiotherapist
- Able to work autonomously and harmoniously with other health professionals
- Clear, concise recording and reporting
- Use data, feedback, and evidence-informed practice to support decision-making, quality improvement, and service planning.
Whilst not essential, candidates that demonstrate experience in clinical leadership, staff supervision, and performance development are desired.
