We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with an enquiring mind and a passion for clinical research to join the research team in the Cancer & Blood Service. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of Medical Oncology Research trials. This is a full time permanent position.
About the role
The Research Nurse has a key role in delivering clinical trials working alongside participants and their whānau, together with the study investigators and clinical trial coordinators. In this role you will be responsible for providing patient education and training, carrying out study specific procedures (e.g. vital signs, sample collection, review of adverse events and medications), data collection and data entry.
Proven experience in Medical Oncology is a core requirement for this role while research nursing experience is regarded as an advantage

About you:
Ideally, we are looking for the following:
- A registered nurse (level 3 or 4) with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experience in Medical Oncology
- Experience administering Chemotherapy
- Strong commitment to quality care
- A personal commitment to on-going learning and development
- Experience working within a multi–disciplinary team
- Experience with PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel and database entry
- A positive attitude, an innovative and adaptable approach
