About the Role
The Department of Anaesthesia & Perioperative Medicine at Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā are seeking a Research Co-Ordinator to work as a highly skilled member of their team based at North Shore Hospital.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day conduct of existing multicentre studies (recruitment and follow-up) and contributing to new studies in an administrative and/or investigator role.
We are flexible with regard to offering full-time or part-time options to meet the research requirements of the department.
While this role is advertised as a 1-year fixed-term, it is expected that the employment term will be extended, dependent on funding.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The research team within the department of anaesthesia, perioperative and pain medicine at North Shore Hospital is an experienced and dynamic multidisciplinary team contributing to international multicentre trials and conducting local principal investigator-led research. Investigators within the department have been successful in securing multiple international research grants and have strong collaborative relationships with local and international research units.

About you
We are looking for a researcher, preferably with a Professional Health Sciences degree (e.g Medical, Nursing, or Allied Health) or a post-graduate research degree (e.g MSc or PhD) with a clinical research component. You will be involved in facilitating clinically relevant research to inform best practice in pain management, perioperative medicine and clinical anaesthesia.
You will need to be proactive with strong organisational and time management skills and be able to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team. Previous experience working with patients and their whānau is preferred.
