Rehabilitation Assistant, National Burn Centre
Part Time 0.8FTE, fixed term until November 2026

The Opportunity:
Gain valuable real-life experience & insights through the role of Rehabilitation Assistant. The Burns, Plastics and Paediatric team at Middlemore Hospital is looking for an individual to help provide excellent care to our patients.
You will work alongside Occupational therapists and Physiotherapists to help patients achieve their functional potential by:
- Assisting with personal care
- Assisting with kitchen programmes
- Helping patients to mobilise and perform their exercise programmes
- Ensuring appropriate equipment are ordered and maintained
- Stock taking & ordering new stock
- Maintaining order spread sheets
Qualities we are looking for include:
- Health Care Assistant qualification level 4 (preferred)
- Experience working with people from a wide range of ages and cultures
- An understanding of rehabilitation, illness and disability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills
- Able to lift and carry
- Full NZ drivers licence
