About the Team/Service/ Location

Wards 4A and 4B provide acute inpatient medical care for adults with a diverse range of complex and often rapidly changing health needs. Our multidisciplinary team delivers compassionate, patient-centred care 24 hours a day, supporting patients and their whānau from admission through to discharge.

Our nurses provide care across a broad range of medical specialties, including:

  • General Medicine
  • Cardiology
  • Respiratory Medicine
  • Renal Medicine
  • Neurology and Neurosurgery
  • Haematology and Oncology

Taranaki boasts some of New Zealand’s most iconic natural landscapes like Mt Taranaki and many adventure activities. The rugged and wild coastline is home to more than 12 world-class surf breaks. About you

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team. Ideal candidates must be comfortable with working on a rostered and rotating basis. Furthermore, will have:

  • Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • Recent Medical nursing experience in a hospital setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within the multidisciplinary team 
  • Excellent time management skills
