About the Role
As a Registered Nurse - Respiratory, you will provide high - quality nursing care to patients and whānau, using your clinical knowledge to assess, plan, and deliver evidence - based care. You’ll work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with a range of respiratory conditions while promoting safety, independence, and wellbeing.
Your day to day will involve clinical assessments, care planning, patient education, and ongoing evaluation of care. You’ll also contribute to a positive team environment, support the development of others, and engage in continuous professional development. This is an opportunity to build your capability in a specialist area while contributing to improving patient outcomes.

Our Ward A1 team at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital provides specialist respiratory care within a supportive and team - focused environment. You’ll be working alongside experienced nurses and multidisciplinary clinicians committed to delivering high - quality, patient - centred care.

About you
As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid practising certificate
- Experience in respiratory nursing or a strong interest in developing in this area
- Ability to deliver safe, evidence - based care in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equitable health outcomes
