About the Role.
A position as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Unit PACU offers a rewarding opportunity to provide critical care to patients recovering from surgery.
In this role, you'll monitor vital signs, manage pain, assess recovery from anesthesia, and collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure safe, effective post-operative care. The PACU environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. About you
To be successful for the role, we are looking for the following:
- Experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse ready to hone their acute skills and critical decision making.
- A minimum of twelve months PACU, ED or ICU patient care experience post NZ registration
- Confidence and proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication skills, documentation, critical thinking, and decision making for patient care plans based on previous work experience.
