About the Role

We currently have a role available for an experienced PACU nurse to join our team at Waitakere Hospital.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Surgical Unit based at Waitākere hospital provides elective surgery, acute obstetrics and elective endoscopy services. The PACU unit is currently open Monday - Friday 07:30 -21:00. Fully rostered shifts will be required to cover nights for patients requiring 24 hour stay.

About you

To be considered we need to following:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • A minimum of 2 years PACU experience
  • Paediatric experience will be n added advantage
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital setting

Providing service excellence to our patients is essential. Creating an environment that is welcoming, professional and supports quality service delivery is a priority.

You will need to be focused, have excellent communication skills, be motivated and have experience being a member of a team working collaboratively to facilitate and co-ordinate care that achieves optimum health outcomes.

The successful applicant should have a reputation for a positive and dynamic approach to nursing and teamwork. They should be well organised, flexible and able to manage the demands of competing priorities in a busy clinical environment.
