About the Role

As a Registered Nurse ENT/ORL Outpatients you will play a vital role in delivering care and education to patients across the Tairawhiti region. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to assess, manage and support people with Otorhinolaryngology conditions.

The primary focus of this role is to provide nursing support to the ENT/ORL service. You will work closely with the Specialty Clinical Nurse ENT, within the Outpatient Department.

About you

  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post graduate experience
  • Post graduate qualifications preferred
  • Otology/ENT Nursing experience is preferred but not essential
  • Skills in micro suctioning preferred (or willing to undertake training)
  • Strong level of computer literacy and a desire to widen your range of technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with an ability to be flexible and adaptable to the changes that occur throughout the day
  • Capable of working in a fast paced, high-volume clinical setting
  • The desire for a commitment to continuous professional development
  • A good team player, happy to jump in and support others when required
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • Current Eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • Local community knowledge would be of benefit.
