An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Operating Theatre. You will be joining our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at Rotorua/Taupo Hospitals.

About the role

Primary responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation in conjunction with working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and a safe client journey across the perioperative care continuum.

• Fixed term, part time role available, six days a fortnight. 
• Hours of work: Mon-Sun, with on-call work mixed in with morning and afternoon shifts.

About you

If you have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, sound clinical skills, adapt rapidly to changing clinical situations, have a kind nature and take pride in improving patient-centred care - we would like to hear from you.

You would:

• Be conscientious and be highly motivated
• Be a team player and come with a positive attitude and ability to speak up for patient safety.
• Live the Lakes values of Manaakitangi (Respect and acknowledging other’s intrinsic value), Integrity and Accountability
• Have NZ full driver’s license or working towards this
• NZ Qualified Registered Nurse holding current annual practicing certificate.
• Preferably have at least 2 years of recent perioperative nursing experience
