Health NZ Counties Manukau is a dynamic and progressive organisation at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. We continue to work with others to achieve equity in key health indicators for Maaori, Pacific and communities with health disparities and will continue to develop and implement plans, based on local needs to improve the health and wellbeing of Counties Manukau region. Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.
We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
About the role:
The state of the art 10 bed National Burn Centre opened in June 2006 to cater for complex burn patients, both adults and paediatrics. Within the facility is an out-patients burn clinic. Ours is a small multi-disciplinary team, all staff pride themselves on their excellence in practise and commitment to their patients. Teamwork is a prime focus on the Unit with our Senior Nursing team sharing their knowledge and experience and offering strong peer support to fellow team members.
There are lots of opportunities for education and professional development including post graduate programme through Auckland University. We offer a comprehensive orientation and there are constant opportunities to increase your knowledge base as there are always new treatments and developments in burns for you to learn about.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with lots of energy and enthusiasm and an interest in Burns. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse to specialise in an area with dedicated individuals that share a passion for making a difference to their patient's lives from the initial incident right throughout their recovery period.

- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Current Practicing Certificate
- 2 year post registration surgical experience

- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
