We continue to work with others to achieve equity in key health indicators for Maaori, Pacific and communities with health disparities and will continue to develop and implement plans, based on local needs to improve the health and wellbeing of Counties Manukau region. Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.
We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
About the role:
Middlemore Central (MMC) is seeking a motivated, energetic, and experienced senior nurse for a permanent opportunity to join the Duty Nurse Managers team within our Integrated Operations Centre (IOC).
This is a unique opportunity to gain organisational recognition and increase your sphere of influence. You will work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to support staffing and bed allocation, while continuing to build strong stakeholder relationships. The role offers a diverse portfolio, including training in emergency response, a qualification in coordinated incident management, and a place on the emerging leaders programme.
You will be an individual who embraces leadership and change, whilst working across services at all levels to really make a difference. An ability to multi-task, with excellent interpersonal skills and a problem solving approach to life, you will be a strong advocate, have a focus on clinical safety and patient care while always looking for the best outcome. As such a minimum of five years current experience in an acute hospital setting is essential
Essential:
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC
- 5+ years recent acute experience
- Strong ability to multi-task
