About the Role
Join a vibrant, supportive maternity team where every day offers meaningful connection, care, and professional growth. We are offering a fixed term opportunity for up to 5 months for skilled Registered Nurse to support wahine, pepi, and whānau during one of life’s most important journeys, working 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week). Working within a midwife-led service, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including LMCs, midwives, obstetricians, and lactation consultants to deliver holistic care during the antenatal, birthing, and postnatal periods.

Based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, our Maternity Unit is based at Tauranga Hospital. We provide holistic, family-centred care in a setting that promotes connection, calm, and cultural safety. You will be joining a passionate and professional team that values kindness, teamwork, and high standards of care.

About You
We are looking for a team-oriented Registered Nurse who is confident in acute maternity care and passionate about supporting mama and pepi.
What you will bring:
- Current NZ Nursing Registration and current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Recent acute care or maternity-related nursing experience
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- A commitment to culturally safe, whanau-centred care
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts across a 24/7 service
