About the Role

We welcome applications from registered nurses who have significant and varied experience in nursing, a background in coordinating or developing others, and are passionate about supporting the integration of nurse graduates into practice.

As Nurse Coordinator, you will lead coordination of the Supported First Year of Practice programme for registered and enrolled nurses at Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals.

This is an exciting opportunity to expand your nursing coordination skills in recruitment, onboarding, and collaborative delivery of the SFYP programme.

About the Team/Service/ Location

This nurse coordinator role is part of the Workforce Development and Learning team. You will have access to other experienced colleagues within the practice development service.

About you

As a Nurse Coordinator you will be a registered nurse who has achieved a minimum of Proficient PDRP level and has worked in a hospital setting with greater than 5 years of clinical experience.

  • Significant experience in Public Hospital nursing settings
  • Minimum of Proficient level PDRP
  • Postgraduate Diploma or currently enrolled on the pathway
  • Nursing experience may include unit coordination/management, RN Coach/ Adult teaching role, Preceptorship, leadership roles.
  • Full drivers licence and able to travel by car between Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals.
