About the role:
Do you have a passion for providing safe, patient-centred care in a specialised nursing environment? Our Infusion Services team at Health New Zealand Counties Manukau is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join us in delivering high-quality care to patients requiring both cancer and non-cancer infusions.
Based within Manukau Surgery Centre and outpatient clinic at Manukau Health Park, you will provide expert clinical care to a wide range of patients, including the safe administration of cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic infusions. You will work autonomously while being an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring treatment and care planning is comprehensive, safe, and culturally responsive.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients receiving infusions, including chemotherapy and non-oncology treatments.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans in partnership with patients and whaanau
- Ensure safe handling and administration of Anti-Neoplastic Drugs (with training and credentialing provided if required).
- Educate, support, and advocate for patients and their whaanau throughout treatment
- Collaborate with the wider health care team to ensure seamless, patient-centred care
- Provide support and guidance to new staff and nursing students
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice

Essential requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NCNZ Annual Practising Certificate
- 2+ years recent acute post registration experience in a relevant clinical environment in NZ
- Cancer nursing experience
- Willingness to learn
- A passion for improving nursing practice and standards of care
Desirable:
- Experience in cytotoxic drug administration
You will be supported by senior nursing staff to develop your skills and deliver care to patients, ensuring the needs of the patient, whaanau/family and other key stakeholders are met in line with the vision and values of Health NZ Counties Manukau.
