About the Role
In the day stay we provide specialist treatments for a range of Haematology conditions including chemotherapy/immunotherapy and stem cell transplants, as well as providing acute care for our patients who become unwell in the community. We also work closely with the cancer and blood research team providing access to new and novel treatments for patients
You will be given a full orientation and study days specific to our speciality and be backed by lots of assistance from our friendly, experienced staff as well as time with our nurse educator on the job.

About You
- Are you a Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience in an acute hospital setting. Haematology or Oncology experience is preferred but not essential
- Are able to demonstrate excellent people and communication skills including the ability to relate to people of differing ages and cultural backgrounds and treat them with empathy and respect
- Are enthusiastic, flexible, problem solving minded and able to work well in a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good level of computer literacy.
- A high degree of self-motivation, willingness, and self-responsibility to continually improve and remain current with nursing skills and knowledge.
