The Adult Emergency Department (AED) is looking for a registered nurse experienced in Acute Emergency Nursing who would like to extend their scope and develop their career pathway as an Emergency Clinical Nurse Specialist, with the potential of moving toward an Emergency Nurse Practitioner with career progression in time.
The AED team proactively responds to deteriorating patients in a focused manner as well as provide clear escalation pathways and response; the Clinical Nurse Specialist will be a key person supporting the Emergency teams to manage patient care along with meeting key KPIs for shorter stays in ED.

To be successful in this role you will also:
- Have a minimum of 5 years of clinical practice in an Emergency care department post registration, some of which should be at an advanced nursing level.
- Have a current annual practicing certificate & are registered with the NZ nursing council
- Have completed or be actively completing a Masters in Nursing qualification in the Advanced Nursing pathway curriculum.
