Registered Nurse - Permanent Parttime Position

About the Team/Service/ Location

The position is located in the Cardiology and Respiratory Outpatients Service, and you will be working alongside a wider multidisciplinary team of Physiologists, Sonographers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clerical Administrators, Nurse Practitioners and Medical Consultants. We perform Cardiac & Respiratory diagnostics tests and hold specialist appointments. 

About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Cardiology and Respiratory Outpatient nursing team has become available, and applications are invited from Registered Nurses to fill this clinic nurse position. The successful candidate would be required to work 8-hour rostered shifts mostly between Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend work required. You will be required to have IV cannulation competency and be able to assist with cardiac diagnostic tests as required.

About you

Ideally candidates will have:

  • 2+ years medical nursing experience
  • Recent Cardiology and Respiratory experience would be an advantage
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Be motivated and willing to learn new skill and committed to self-directed learning
  • Must be willing to learn to assist in cardiac/ respiratory diagnostic, i.e., tilt table testing/ Transoesophageal Echocardiograms etc.
  • IV cannulation certification preferred
