About the Role

As a Registered Nurse within the Waitematā Central Staffing Team (Nursing Bureau), you will have the unique opportunity to work across a variety of clinical areas, providing essential support where it is needed most. This role offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to broaden your clinical experience while being part of a supportive and highly collaborative team environment.

You will use your skills to provide short notice leave cover and support clinical environments during periods of high demand. Working alongside ward-based nurses in direct clinical care, you will role model best practice and contribute to maintaining safe, high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organisation while enjoying the stability of permanent hours.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Waitematā Central Staffing Team (Nursing Bureau) supports services across both North Shore and Waitakere hospital. We are a responsive, solution-focused team committed to ensuring safe staffing and quality patient outcomes.

Opportunities are available to work across both sites, with the ability to identify a preferred site where possible.

About you

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring adaptability, strong clinical capability, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care.

  • Current NZ Nursing Council registration and Annual Practising Certificate
  • At least 3 + years recent acute clinical experience
  • New Zealand Nursing Experience preferred
  • Ability to work confidently across a range of clinical environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to professional development and role modelling best nursing practice
