About the Role

Join our Adult Community Mental Health and Addictions Service and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Tangata Whaiora and their whānau. As a Registered Mental Health Professional, you will manage a diverse caseload, providing triage, assessment, care coordination, and recovery focused support within the community. Working both independently and alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will build strong partnerships with referrers, health providers, whānau, and community agencies to deliver person centred care that promotes wellbeing and independence.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Adult Community Mental Health and Addictions Service is a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team made up of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurses, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists who are committed to delivering high quality, recovery focused care across the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Working in partnership with whānau, hapū, iwi, and community providers, the team is dedicated to improving equitable health outcomes while fostering a collaborative environment where staff are supported to grow and develop. About You

You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Mental Health Professional who enjoys working alongside Tangata Whaiora to support their recovery and wellbeing. Whether you are a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist, you bring at least two years of post-registration mental health experience, ideally within a community setting. You build strong relationships, work confidently both independently and within a multidisciplinary team, and demonstrate a commitment to culturally responsive practice, including embracing Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a genuine commitment to growing your knowledge in these areas.

What you will bring:

• Current registration and Annual Practicing Certificate as a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist
• A minimum of two years’ post-registration mental health experience, preferably within a community setting (but not essential)
• Strong assessment, care coordination, and case management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to recover focused, person centred, and culturally safe practice
