About the Role
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Health Clinician to join our Youth Forensic team in a role where you can be part of making a difference. You will be working with young people involved in the youth justice system or who are at risk of offending, to provide integrated assessments, risk management and treatment plans as requested by the Youth Court, taking into account the psychosocial issues that are relevant to their development and wellbeing.

About the Service/Location
This role is part of Te Roopu Kimiora, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Service, based in Te Tai Tokerau – Kaikohe, in the Mid North. Our team delivers care to our rural and coastal communities. The Mid-North Mental Health and Addiction Services are committed to the needs of whanau and hapu wellbeing to ensure both cultural and clinical excellence.

About you
Are you a registered nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, psychologist or a DAPAANZ registered health professional?
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a New Zealand professional registration with a current practicing certificate
- Have a current full driver’s licence
- You will also have experience working in a whanau-centric model and have strong assessment and therapeutic intervention skills
- Have experience working with Māori in rural communities.
