About the Role

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic and friendly service in a permanent, full-time role of Registered Health Clinician based in the Far North.

As a Registered Health Clinician – Occupational Therapist, you will provide a referral, assessment, counselling and duty intervention service within the Mental Health & Addictions Service. Participating as an active, supportive and collaborative member of the multi-disciplinary team, you’ll contribute to the ongoing improvement of the service and nursing by participating in the development and delivery of quality enhancement initiatives.

About you

Preferred applicants will:

  • Have a recognised health qualification with current registration and practicing certificate with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand
  • Qualifications and/or training in counselling and facilitation skills in individual, group and whānau situations
  • Hold a current full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
  • Experience in Substance Abuse Treatment, including an understanding of the needs of individuals and whānau facing such problems
