About the Role
As the Physiotherapy Team Leader, you will lead and inspire a great team of physiotherapists and assistants in a professional and operational leadership role.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings
- Responsible for workforce planning, efficient service delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and inter-professional collaboration
- Advocates for the strategic development of physiotherapy services to meet the evolving needs of our population
- Provide professional leadership and supervision of clinical activity and practice
- Work with the senior leadership team on service development and quality initiatives

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Physiotherapy Service is a team of allied health professionals who are passionate about improving the health outcomes of the Tairawhiti community, working across Inpatient, Outpatient and Community settings.
As part of an inter-disciplinary team, we provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and discharge planning through a whanau-centred approach

About you
We are seeking a dynamic Physiotherapist to join us in this fixed-term leadership position to provide professional advice and direction for Physiotherapy to ensure the service is innovative, contemporary, and effective. If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you.
Essential skills and experience
- Hold current registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board
- A relevant graduate or post-graduate qualification
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in an interdisciplinary team
- An ability to foster excellence in practice standards and professional conduct
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti O Waitangi in action
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced clinical experience and or knowledge of allied health service delivery in a physiotherapy environment
- Experience of leading, motivating and developing others
