About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Infant, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (ICAMHS), Te Whare O Te Rito, in Tairāwhiti.
This community-based role provides specialist psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment for tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau experiencing moderate to severe mental health and behavioural challenges. You will work across a broad range of presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, eating disorders, substance abuse and complex mental health.

Te Whare O Te Rito is part of the infant, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (ICAMHS within the Te Ara Maioha (Mental Health & Addictions) Group. The service is dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of children, young people and their whānau across the Tairāwhiti region.

About you
- Registration with the NZ Psychologists Board
- Strong clinical assessment and psychotherapeutic skills across a range of mental health presentations
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, privacy requirements, and professional ethical standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to culturally safe practice and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- A proactive approach to professional development and continuous
- Experience working in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services
