1 x 0.7 FTE part-time permanent position in strength and balance and 1 x 0.4 FTE part-time permanent position in outpatients (MSK and lymphoedema).

About the Roles
Strength and Balance - an opportunity has arisen for a physiotherapist to join our busy in home strength and balance service. You will work as part of a team providing an efficient and effective service to our clients. This position will include the opportunity to extend your skills with the support and enthusiasm of a small team.
Outpatients – an opportunity has arisen for a physiotherapist to join our busy Hamilton based physiotherapy outpatient service with a special interest in lymphoedema. You will primarily be based in Hamilton however you may be required to work at other sites across the Waikato region. You will work as part of a team providing an efficient and effective service to our clients.
These positions are ideal for a physiotherapist who is self-motivated, able to work independently at delivering services to patients. The roles requires the successful applicant to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs and to have a genuine passion for working with patients and their whānau on their health journey.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high quality physiotherapy services to referred clients and be responsible for treating patients/service users with respect, dignity and compassion.
- Demonstrate professional attitude and commitment to the team, practising within your scope of practice and ensuring effective communication occurs at all levels to achieve service objectives.
- Physiotherapy service delivery is enhanced and maintained.
- Provide agreed education and training for staff, physiotherapy student, clients and carers/whanau.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

About the Service
The Physiotherapy service has approximately 90 staff including Physiotherapists, assistants and administrators that work across the large geographical area that is Te Whatu Ora, Waikato. We have staff based at Waikato Hospital, our secondary hospital in Thames and our 3 rural hospitals in Tokoroa, Te Kuiti and Taumarunui and across our many community bases in areas such as Morrinsville, Matamata, Cambridge, and Ngaruawahia.

About you
- NZ physiotherapy registration, and a current annual practising certificate.
- Current valid full New Zealand drivers’ licence.
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of the physiotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team across a variety of environments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, their whanau, and other health care professionals.
- Experience providing community based physiotherapy is desirable.
- Experience providing MSK physiotherapy in an outpatient setting is desirable with a special interest in lymphoedema.
