About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an intermediate level physiotherapist to join our acute inpatient orthopaedic surgical team at Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
This permanent position lies within our well established and welcoming orthopaedic and surgical service which includes both surgical and orthopaedic wards. These wards cover trauma and elective orthopaedics, general surgical plus vascular over a broad age range. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team in a proactive patient centred environment. This role will be challenging but rewarding, being an important component in the patient’s recovery journey. This role would be ideally suited for someone who has completed junior rotations, looking for their next career step, in a supportive environment.

About you
We’re looking for someone who has outstanding clinical skills, a passion for working in fast paced acute environments, excellent communication skills and an ability and enthusiasm to support and develop others.
You will also need the following key skills and attributes,
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy, or equivalent
- New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with current annual practising certificate (APC)
- Clean current full NZ driver’s license
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and constructive and effective relationships
- Positive attitude with problem solving focus
