About the Location
- Our department consists of Paediatricians with a wide variety of sub-speciality interests from neonatal, community paediatrics, to mental health, and a supportive team of specialist nurses, and visiting sub-specialists.
- Lakes is located in the central North Island of New Zealand - Aotearoa. Rotorua is located approximately 230 kilometers (143 miles) southeast of Auckland, while Taupō is located approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of Rotorua.
- Lakes is a geothermal wonderland and is also home to several scenic lakes, including Lake Taupō, the largest lake in New Zealand. Rotorua and Taupō are the go-to places for hiking, mountain biking, and water sports; you can also dive into traditional experiences and learn more about Māori culture in the region.

About you
You will have:
- MCNZ registration and or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at www.mcnz.org.nz
- Completion of at least 1 year of advanced training in general paediatrics
- You will be an advanced trainee in their last year of general paediatric training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
