Join our passionate Allied Health team and make a real difference in people’s lives.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthotist to provide high-quality orthotic assessment, design and fabrication services to support patients in achieving optimal mobility, comfort and independence.
As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical specialists and other allied health professionals to deliver person-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings to the patients of Tairawhiti.

About the Team/Service/ Location
You will be joining a small dedicated Orthotics team based at Gisborne Hospital, working alongside an experienced Orthotist. We provide orthotic services to patients and their whanau from across the Tairawhiti/East Coast Region.

About you
You are an enthusiastic, adaptable clinician who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about helping others achieve their best functional outcomes. You will bring:
- A recognised qualification in Orthotics (eg: Bachelor of Health Science – Prosthetics and Orthotics, or equivalent)
- Eligibility for registration or membership with the New Zealand Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (NZOPA) – or international equivalent
- Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
