About the Team/Service
Caring for the oral health of children is incredibly important for their long-term health and wellbeing and is a deeply rewarding experience to those providing care. Oral Health Waikato provides free oral health services for eligible children residing in the Waikato district.

About the Role
The objective of this role is to improve oral health for 0 -17 years olds through leading oral health projects and programmes in early childhood centres and schools.
Co-ordinators have an age-related portfolio, develop plans and implement activities across the Health NZ I Waikato district to improve uptake and utilisation of services with a particular focus on reducing inequalities for Māori and Pacific.
The incumbent will need to be self-directed, proactive, systems and results focused. There are opportunities for ongoing learning and development within the role.

About you
Required skills and experience
- A level 4 or 5 NZQA certificate / diploma qualifications or equivalent experience
- Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Office software packages, databases, internet and diary management
- Able to participate within a team environment.
- The ability to prioritise effectively.
- A full current NZ driver’s license
- Knowledge and understanding of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- You will have an appreciation of the values and culture that form our successful oral health team.
