About the Role
Support people in the Western Bay community to live safely and independently at home. This Casual Occupational Therapist role sits within Community Allied Health and focuses on client-centred assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation across a wide range of conditions.
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team delivering coordinated, community-based care. Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and innovative projects aimed at strengthening outcomes for whānau. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape how care is delivered in the community setting.

Our Community Allied Health Services team delivers client-focused holistic care to help people get well and stay well in their own homes. Based in Tauranga and working across the Bay of Plenty, the team is friendly, innovative, and dedicated to empowering clients and whānau to achieve what matters most to them.

About You
You will be a motivated Occupational Therapist who values teamwork and takes ownership of your clinical practice. You are client focused, adaptable, and confident working autonomously in community environments. You bring a strong commitment to equitable care and enjoy contributing to service development.
What you will bring:
- Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experience working within allied health or community-based settings
- Strong assessment, intervention, and care planning skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Commitment to culturally responsive and equitable practice
- Full New Zealand driver’s licence
