About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and fast thinking Occupational Therapist to work on our post-acute care medical ward as part of our inpatient services at Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā.
This is a part time, fixed term role, in which you will be supporting patients who are medically stable but require additional care before safely returning home. In this unique environment, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering early assessment, targeted interventions and coordinated discharge planning. Your contribution will be key in helping achieve positive health outcomes through a collaborative, patient-centred approach.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team of acute occupational therapists work across a wide variety of inpatient wards, including (but not limited to) general medical, surgical, orthopaedics, ED/ADU and ICU/HDU. We are a close-knit team who are dedicated to providing a high standard of care to our Waitematā community.
About you
- New Zealand Professional Registration and valid current APC
- Have a passion for inpatient, acute care
- Be committed to team work and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration
- Have an ability to be flexible and adaptable within a busy, fast-paced work environment
- Strong clinical assessment skills, great communication and fast thinking.
