We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner Intern to join our respected Gerontology Nursing team, where your emerging expertise will make a tangible difference in the lives of older adults across the Waitematā district.
About the Team/Service/ Location
This role will be based in either Rodney, Waitakere or North Shore
As a Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Intern, you will play an integral role in advancing the care of our older adult population. This an advanced practice role which involves comprehensive gerontology nursing, working both independently and collaboratively with other Nurse Practitioners, Gerontology Nurse Specialists and Geriatricians As part of our community-based team, you will:
- Champion proactive, person-centred care
- Improve access and health outcomes for older people
- Diagnose, assess, and manage complex health needs across the care continuum

About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Gerontology Nursing
- Master’s degree in Nursing accompanied by advanced assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills paper
- Ongoing commitment in educational initiatives to enhance gerontology-nursing practices.
