- Permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week rostered shifts

About the Role
In this key senior role, the Nurse Educator contributes to developing further the Directorate and Te Tai Tokerau workforce education opportunities, plans and strategic objectives. This is achieved by informing and contributing to the development of resources with evidence-based education that can be applied within the ward and organisation.
The Nurse Educator works to ensure key work stream opportunities are well utilised and further education strategic aspirations achieved. This role also has a responsibility for improving the quality of professional nursing practice and safeguarding high standard of care in Te Tai Tokerau by supporting an environment in which excellence in clinical care can flourish.
To promote, facilitate and provide clinical education to maximise health care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and promote clinical excellence and evidence-based professional nursing practice.

About you
- New Zealand Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate
- Relevant Post Graduate Diploma
- Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert PDRP
- At least 7 years post registration experience with at least 3 years in relevant speciality
- Clinical teaching experience
- Computer literacy
- Encourages teamwork, cooperation and a positive attitude
