About the Role

Calling all midwives

We have an exciting position available that covers maternity services in both Rotorua and Taupo. The purpose of the role is to promote evidence-based quality midwifery practice through education and practice development of individuals and teams within the clinical setting.

About you

The successful applicant will have at least 5 years post registration maternity experience including secondary care and a proven desire and passion to grow and develop people. They will embrace the values of Lakes and commit to their personal ongoing professional development. You would be expected to design and deliver education at the bedside, as part of structured programmes and to larger multi professional groups.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have 

  • excellent interpersonal skills,
  • show cultural sensitivity with safe practice,
  • be flexible and adaptable, and
  • be a team player.
