About the Role

Te Toka Tumai is offering an exciting new opportunity for a Midwife Specialist to join the MCIS team in a one-year fixed-term role. This position is perfect for someone with strong digital health skills who enjoys collaborating with others and wants to be part of a high-performing team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Clinical Midwife Specialist and the rest of the MCIS team to drive results and meet key performance indicators for the unit. 

As a member of the MCIS team, this role provides the chance to build connections and tap into a strong network. You'll help support and advance our digital health systems, ensuring that our data is of the highest quality.

About you

We're looking for an experienced midwife with a strong passion for Digital Health and Informatics, eager to integrate healthcare into patient care and collaborate closely with our health leaders to improve and enhance our systems.

We're looking for a dedicated midwife with strong IT skills and a commitment to making a positive difference. This person should be able to drive improvements that enhance our care and increase our performance across all areas of midwifery and obstetric care. 

It's essential that you have the following requirements: 

  • NZ registration as a Midwife.
  • At least 3 years experience as a midwife.
  • A relevant graduate or postgraduate degree in digital health or IT is highly preferred, but not required.
  • A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori. 
  • Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action or improving indigenous health.
