About the Role

As a Specialist Midwife, you will work in partnership with women with complex underlying medical conditions, practicing within both hospital and community settings

About the Team/Service/Location

This is a great opportunity to join an amazing team of dedicated and caring midwives to further your skills and step up to the Specialist Midwife role within the High-Risk Maternity Team.

National Women's Health at Auckland City Hospital is one of the largest maternity hospitals in Australasia, with approximately 6,500 babies born each year; it is a tertiary referral centre whilst also providing primary maternity care to women in the central Auckland area.

About you

We are seeking an experienced midwife who has:

  • Previous experience in managing women with medical conditions is preferred but not essential.
  • Passion in providing health education to women and their whānau in ways that encourage women to actively participate in their own care.
  • Show us your knowledge and passion to improve the outcomes of our community and make a difference! There are opportunities for professional development through post graduate education and specialist experience.
  • Drivers license essential
