About the Role

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will assist in the collection, receipt, documentation, registration, processing of all specimens, including those referred to other laboratories, as required by authorized policies and protocols. You will also be required to perform other technical and operational duties normally expected of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/MLPAT), such as those related to efficient and effective operations of the Pathology service.

About you

  • Medical Laboratory Technician with registration with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience working within a Medical Laboratory
  • Proven ability to rapidly learn new knowledge and skills.
  • A basic understanding of health/illness and prevention of infection.
  • A basic understanding of filing systems.
  • Previous experience within a Healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work as a team member
