About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide safe operational anaesthetic and ancillary equipment to anaesthetists in operating theatre. In this role you will provide direct clinical assistance to anaesthetists and intensivists maintaining a high standard of patient care.
You will be a part of an integrated operating theatre team with a commitment to ensuring efficient functioning of the operating theatre. As a newly qualified member of staff, full supervision and support will help you settle into your new place.
These are permanent full-time opportunities however, we also welcome applicants who prefer to work part time.

About the Team/Location
If you choose Whangarei as your base location, you will also have the option of working in Kaitaia at times so that you can spend some time in the Far North to explore the beautiful surroundings.

About you
You will have strong attention to detail, and an ability to follow clear guidelines and set procedures. You will be keen to learn and develop new skills while having a commitment to quality and provision of quality care.
In addition, you will need:
- Certificate/Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology or equivalent
- Registered with the Medical Science Council of New Zealand with a current practicing certificate
- Demonstrate an ability to practice in a culturally safe manner
