About the Role
We are seeking experienced Medical Imaging Technologists (MITs) to join our dedicated team in providing high quality imaging services to the stunning Thames region.
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, technically skilled and thrives in a collaborative environment, patient focused environment. As an MIT, you’ll be responsible for delivering diagnostic imaging services- including x-ray, CT scanning and theatre support- with excellence and precision.
Our Radiology department operates a 7-day daytime roster, with an overnight on call service. This roster is shared equally amongst you and your MIT colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
- Patient focused healthcare
- Radiation safety of staff and patients
- Work within the multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic imaging.
- Perform a range of imaging from X-ray, CT , mobile and image intensifier equipment
- Operate and troubleshoot equipment
- Participate in our after hours on call service.
The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the Medical Imaging Technologist Collective Agreement. Additional benefits include kiwisaver contributions (if eligible), shift allowances, professional development and wellness support.

About you
The following skills and experience are required to be considered for this role:
- Hold a registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board with a general scope of practice.
- Hold a current practising certificate
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a strong patient focus
- Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Utilise excellent time management and organisational skills
- CT user would be an advantage or willingness to be trained in CT
