Health Promoter – Māori Community

Bowel Screening Saves lives!  

Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Waitemata is looking for an exceptional Health Promoter to raise awareness and participation of the free national bowel screening programme in our area, and particularly in the Māori community. Strong relationship skills are important, as is the ability to engage well with our eligible age group, 58-74 year olds.

The ideal candidate would be innovative, resourceful, highly motivated and a strong team player who already has experience of the bowel screening IT systems and processes. Knowledge of tikanga and te reo Māori are essential and you must be available for evening and week-end work, both locally and across the wider Auckland region when required. 

This position is part time working 40 hours per fortnight. We are based in Takapuna however we work across the whole Waitemata region.
