About the Role:
As the Logistics Coordinator for Laboratory Services, you will be at the heart of ensuring seamless and efficient laboratory operations. Your expertise in inventory management and supply chain coordination will be crucial to maintaining the timely and accurate distribution of reagents and essential laboratory supplies across multiple laboratory sites and 82 clinical environments within Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park.
You will be a key driver of logistics planning and optimisation, supporting cost-saving initiatives across the laboratory and the broader hospital network. With a strong commitment to compliance and safety, you will uphold best practices in all processes and procedures.
Serving as the vital link between laboratory staff, vendors, and other departments, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services. Your proactive planning, clear communication, and problem-solving skills will ensure smooth operations and contribute directly to excellent patient outcomes.
About you:
You are a problem solver and a communicator who knows how to build strong relationships across teams. Your calm professionalism and sharp attention to detail ensure that no aspect of logistics is overlooked.
You will have:
- At least 2 years of clerical administration experience in laboratory services
- Proven experience managing logistics within a healthcare environment
- Experience in inventory management and supply chain coordination
- Excellent time management skills with a knack for prioritising competing demands
- A calm, clear, and professional communication style paired with meticulous attention to detail
