About the Team/Service/ Location
Wards 4A/B at Taranaki Base Hospital make up the largest inpatient ward at Health New Zealand Taranaki. We have 59 acute beds and two procedure rooms (Medical and Renal respectively). We provide around the clock care for the following specialties:
· General Medicine
· Cardiology
· Respiratory
· Renal
· Neurology & Neuro Surgery
· Haematology & Oncology
Taranaki boasts some of New Zealand’s most iconic natural landscapes like Mt Taranaki and many adventure activities. The rugged and wild coastline is home to more than 12 world-class surf breaks. Taranaki is a place where you can ski and surf in the same day. For a more relaxing experience, there are many walks (bush, coastal or mountain) as well as art trails, festivals and award-winning museums and galleries and a thriving café culture. About you
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team. Ideal candidates must be comfortable with working on a rostered and rotating basis. Furthermore, will have:
- A Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker qualification
- A desire to complete Healthcare Assistant Merit levels
- Recent experience (preferably in a hospital setting)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within the multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management skills
