Health Care Assistant - Thames
- Location: Inpatient Unit Thames Hospital
- Permanent Position
- Rostered and rotating shifts. You will be required to work some night shifts

About the role:
The patient group are largely elderly (although not all), who have been admitted with a medical problem and who require assistance with daily cares whilst they are unwell.
The Rehabilitation Unit provides a slightly different focus for patients whom are clinically stable and require active rehabilitation so they can return safely to their own homes
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Work under supervision of the Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
- Providing the daily hygiene cares for patients.
- Maintain patients’ physical safety.
- Play an active role in the Multi-disciplinary team
- Restocking cupboards with supplies necessary for daily work.

About you
Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
- Mature with an interest in the care of the elderly
- A full orientation will provided if you do not have experience caring for people.
- Can perform assigned tasks in patient care, including managing equipment
About the Service
The Inpatient unit which comprises of General Medicine and Rehabilitation, On occasions, you will be expected to work in other departments within the hospital or to accompany patients in a care role on non-urgent ambulance transfer
