About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our Adult Medical Inpatient Ward team. In this important support role, you will work under the direction and delegation of Registered Nurses and other health professionals to provide high-quality care and assistance to patients and whānau.
This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will contribute to safe, efficient ward functioning while helping ensure patients receive respectful, person-centred care.

About you
You will be a reliable team player with a genuine passion for supporting patients and whānau.
Essential:
- NZQA Level 3 Certificate (or equivalent)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under direction and within a team
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving Māori health outcomes
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage a busy workload
- Good digital literacy and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience
- Acute care experience
